Musicians Swap Meet Coming Up – March 20th Sunday

Tuesday, March 8th, 2011

Although its been a while since I have had a booth at this event,  I still love to attend this show.   Last one was on same day as Super Bowl, but no excuses this time.   You have to  check it out!  Its  just a great place to  find some off the wall and vintage used music gear, enjoy searching for that used effects pedal you always wanted, or just enjoy a brat, sauerkraut and a beer while walking around.  I got an incredible pedal board case there last time for my brother.  Its held at the Old World Village, a german style beer hall that rocks during the Oktoberfest season.

Awesome Time at the Musician Swap Meet

Monday, June 28th, 2010

Well, it is a strange way to spend a summer Sunday, but I had a blast again at the Musician Swap Meet on Sunday at the Old World Festival Hall in Huntington Beach.  My buddy James shared the booth with me this time, and between the bratwurst and Saurkraut, the beer, and seeing some people I had met last time, we had a blast.  I sold quite a bit of stuff,  including this old tape echo machine I’ve had since high school.  Yea, sad parting with it, happy to have cash in pocket.

I found some cool gear this time myself also.  I picked up a record turntable that has USB connection to actually get that record collection to mp3, and also a pedal board case for my bass playing brother, Mike.  He’d been looking for one, so it was perfect, and the right price, only $20.    I’ll put up a pic of the turntable once i get it setup and running.

Fun at the Musician’s Swap Meet last Sunday

Monday, April 19th, 2010

Well, I had a blast this past Sunday April 18th at the semi-monthly Musician’s Swap Meet hosted at the Old World Festival Hall in Huntington Beach, CA.   I took a bunch of used music gear, guitar parts, CD’s and instructional books down to the booth space I had rented.  Wasn’t sure what to expect, but I just went for it, and I’m glad I did.  I got rid alot of items,  made some good cash, and meet really good people, customers and other vendors included.   Everything started at 10am, and unfortunately I didnt get there until 15 minutes before the doors opened. I frantically set everything up and then the action started. My buddy James joined me at noon to give me a spell and sell some of his gear too.

The next Swap Meet is scheduled for June 27th, and I may be there again, this time sharing the booth with some friends.  To get more details check it out at
